Why I left corporate america to help photographers manage their businesses like the pros they are.
Once I decided to officially step away from corporate america to pursue my photography business full time, I still found myself giving insurance & business advice and cringing every time I saw a Gofundme campaign to replace stolen equipment.
Insurance & thinking about risk has always been a part of my life. Just because corporate america wasn't a fit for the life I wanted to live anymore, didn't mean my love and understanding of the value of insurance and business principles went away. So, I decided to merge the two worlds to help photographers like you!
I don't simply want to run and protect my own business. I don't think I'm called to do only that. I want to make sure I am able to pass on the knowledge I have about business & insurance to give back to and help the industry that gave me the breath of fresh air I so desperately needed.
As an insurance professional in corporate america, I helped owners of small to large corporations understand their insurance needs and present creative coverage options tailored for their businesses. As the years went by and I started to build a family, I began to realize that for the life I wanted to live, corporate america just wasn't cutting it anymore.
Like most of you, I started my business as a side hustle. I met & learned from so many AMAZING business owners in the creative space, particularly the wedding industry.
After working with other creatives & investigating the wedding industry as a whole, I noticed so many were not only misinformed about insurance, many of them simply weren't covered. As a matter of fact, I couldn't believe Insurance was not being discussed in business settings at all!
